Just got a Smarty, programmed in level 1 (running empty, no tow) Took a trip to see and play. .

Just filled up after 560 miles - 34. 7 mpg, calculated!!!!!! Oo. :eek:Oo.

Wish I could say that it was the Smarty and it would always be.....

But (1) .....

the 20-30mph wind that was at my back probably help "a little".....

But (2) .....

I can still say honestly say the truck got that kind of mileage. :-laf

DMather: What kind of smarty did you use? Did the rv275 injectors help as well? That's awesome mileage to get. My buddy has a 2002 CTD and this would be good advice to give him.

dmather, did you notice any improvement in mpg or driveability after installing the fluidamper? I am considering installin one, too.

My '08 was showing 45. 5 mpg a couple of weeks ago on a 50 mile trip west from Lubbock. Amazing what a 50 mph tailwind can go for mileage.

I get 25 MPG when I drive to Columbia from Greenville cause its about a 700 foot elevation drop and there are plenty of long hills to coast in neutral.

Not to be Debbie Downer, but I'd average 3-4 tanks before thinking you're going to get that every tank. Depending on what pump I fill up at, I get 5-6 mpg better or worse. Depends on how much fuel you get in the tank.

Debbie, you are correct. Fuel pumps at stations shut off at different points, but if your fuel tank is almost empty, proportionally, you will be close (within a few percent).

I fill up at work, so it's the same pump, same angle, same everything, and I still average everything out.

All about averages...
