well now, lots of stuff to think about in this thread.

As far as fuel milage, I get 20-21 on the hi-way emty.

18. 5 pulling the trailer with toys on it,

18 in town emty

And I don't have a clue in town loaded.

These numbers do not include burn outs and showing off.

Bushwakr, Mark, you guys will be proud of me! I've got the dual turbo's mocked up and it REALLY looks cool. It will be a tight fit, but it will fit. the comperssor housings are polished and when the header is done the tubes will be polished too. Hopfully it will be done this week. Instalation might take a little bit because of all the extra mounts and lines to run.

that's all

Temptation

You guys make the POD's sound very tempting.

With the same mods to pump what is the difference in power between stock and POD's??

Dave,

Sounds cool. Power Wagon was telling me about it. I believe I talked to you as we past each other at B. D. Dyno days in April, Abbotsford, Canada.

What kind of #'s did you turn that day. Our milage is close if I take it easy and stay close to 60mph. Dam bricks of ours kill us at high speeds.

Keep us informed.

mark

Ya, mark is right, our trucks are about as aerodynamic as a railcar.

I get about 17. 8-18 mpg around town, all stop light to stop light stuff. Including a bit of ricer stompin when I get the chance.

If you leave your pump were it is and just install the POD's you'll see an excellent difference. I did. Now keep in mind it depends on were your pump is when the nozzles go in, but I was very happy with the results. I'm learnin to live with the slight haze at idle, and if I really want to I can ease up on the settings and all but get rid of it totally.

hdm48, I hear your sending a set of completed twins to me for testing too... . what a guy... hey, maybe we can put em on Ken's (saddog's) truck for his suicide run... . ;) ;)

That reminds me, I gotta get out to see him and sell him some serious life insurance... . ;) :p

It's a good thing you're on the other side of the 49th, we couldn't survive two 'wildman marks' up here... .

BTW, our thoughts are with you, and your nation on the anniversary of that dreadful event in NY and Washington. .

Best regards, Bob and Beth C.

Bob, thanks to you and your wife for the kind thoughts. It does make us feel better knowing that our neighbors to the north are with us in these dark days. May GOD bless you all and protect you from evil.

And as far as sending you a completed set of twins? UH, did I miss something? Wait a minute,, I quit useing drugs years ago.

Must have been a typo. snicker-snicker

Hey Jason,

Didn't we race 2 times that night. About the 2 race in? I know I raced Cliff 1st round, 2 round I thought we raced, 3 round ?, Final was you and I for sure. I can still see you coming up QUICK in my mirror at 7/8 track. I was saying to Sandy holly s**t here he comes. :--)

Twins? That sounds like the best way to get max power out of a first gen. You have got to burn all of the limited amount of fuel we've got. Are you going with HY35s and 9cm2 exhaust housings? It will be interesting to see how they spool-up. They will defiantly flow enough.

I just installed PW's yesterday. I know that I am nowhere near mark's numbers, but it sure feels better.

Mark

You and I only raced once I had to school that black V-10 of my buddies twice (those V-10 guys are kinda slooooow on the uptake):p ;)

About this 7/8 down the track is that in Canadian:p :p what does that convert to in merican

Jason

Hey, Jason.

Just checked with Sandy, she says we did race twice too. 7/8 relates to holly s**T here he comes and the finish line is close but not close enough.

Mark, I know the feeling. My run against Diesel Freak was just like that, too. While we were still beside the bleachers, Cliff was so far back I couldn't see any of his truck, and from the angle of the sound coming through the back window from his truck, he was well behind me for a little while. Then, somewhere around half track, he suddenly got a lot louder and then I noticed him gaining on me.

Right at the finish line, he comes charging up on me such it felt like I was standing still:eek:

I assume you guys were doing bracket racing???

If so what times were you dialing in at?

I gotta get some decent tires and try this at Mission Raceway...

Bob.

Mark

Just checked with the boss(Gail) I'm right I raced the black V-10 twice then I ran Jim Fuller then in the final race it was you and I.

I only ran 4 times also. But as I said before if you want a rematch I have no problems or we can just race bar stools all night either way sounds like fun to me. :D :D

That was a blast! We need to do it again!

I went through the trap a little over 3100 RPM in 5th

Sorry Guys I've been busy and off the site for a while. To answer the mileage question - from Portland to Spokane and back, with the cruise control set at 70mph - 21. 59 mpg. I didn't tow my trailer so that I could run a mpg test. I find that as long as I keep my foot out of it mileage is good. ;)

Bob

EGT's

Mark,

What kind of EGT's are you seeing at that horsepower level on the dyno and around town? Did you need 3000+ RPM's to get it?

Your numbers have got me thinking... :D
