Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) $3000 for 6speed?

i know a guy who has a 6speed with 89K flywheel pedal assemble stick just about everything out of a 01 he wants 3000 what do you guys think. the transmission could be shot for all i know he will send me all the parts what do you guys think?

i got a quote from eep for a new 5600, as well as all the required small parts to bolt it in to my truck, not including drive line mods, for about that. i would say a bit pricey too

thanks guys i have decided to put the swap on hold b/c i have a little one on the way. but this swap will happen. but i appreciate the input.
