I am installing the kit and have a question on the tolerance needed to hold when re-adjusting the nut that holds the springs in place.

The initial measurement was 0. 071" .

How close do I need to shoot for on re-assembly? My digital Starrett is coming up . 001-. 003 variance. This variance should be acceptable?

Yes or NO?

Thanks,

i have a question. i just installed my 3000 gsk and i retightend to the best measurment possible that i took initially. whe i drove the truck it does get more rpm but it seems like it takes it a while to do this, while before when i stomped on the pedal it would go to the max rpm the govenor would allow and stay there maybe only dropping 50-100 rpm in between shifts. now when i stomp on it it still goes but it seems like it drops alot more rpm inbewtween shifts. would this be because of the spring tightness? do i need to go back and either tighten or loosen the springs? the truck does run very good now, but it just doesent seem right. ive head that guys would have to go back and either loosen their spings a click or two, or tighten them. oh and i got lucky with the idle. did not have to readjust! im just tryin to fine tune this so any input would help. this site is awsome! thanks!
