#1, I have a fundmental problem with ANY vendor that if you approach saying it's a top secret project, they are calling someone else to tell what you're asking about.

#2, if we just did what they suggested, then we'd be following someone. Can't have that, not if you want to be at the front. :)

So, down the road, are you guys going to be implementing that front stuff?

He lacks tact but HE DOES HAVE THE FASTEST DIESEL.

No he doesn't. Bentz beat that.

He doesn't even have a fast truck. He thinks he has a truck, but all it is, is a tube frame with a tupperware shell.

and what category would you put the EDGE truck in

I would Put it in the Humble Class. The professional and Class act class. Or if all else fails you could put it in the, " We don't need to always be negative and Jump up and down Oo. and tell everybody How great I am class "

They may sound like harsh words, and I have to say Comp I do enjoy reading some of your Technical posts, but your rehtoric is getting old. You starting to sound like Howard Strern . . he is the King of everything just ask him! :-laf

I agree with the post above, but sadly, I must also say that it is in the #2 tupperware drag vehicle category. Sorry, Keith, ya gotta get some more runs in! Oo.

I agree Gene. We are all in favor of more track time (especially me - since I get paid my salary and get the day off to go to the race track and drive! ), it's just a matter of timing. The tracks around here are closed right now.

The truck needs more track time. 10 passes just isn't enough to get it all sorted out. How many pulls did you make before you started getting things figured out? The learning curve is monsterous (and expensive) right now, since we're still on the beginning of it.

i have to agree with everyone else here. you brag in most if not all of your posts. first be nice and take that shed putters thing off your sig its not funny. im glad you have the fastest diesel truck but i too have a diesel im proud of its not much but its mine. if you look on ebay he is trying to sell an engine. have a great day richard.

Betnz is faster but the dragster is 700# lighter... do the math, it makes less power  You have to admit he's doing a LOT of things right.

He called a $100k truck a "tube frame with a tupperware shell". How would you like someone trivializing your last year or two worth of hard work when you in fact have the "QUICKEST DIESEL TRUCK ON THE PLANET 8. 72 @154. 88 5. 52 @ 124. 89 1/8".

Sleddy has to take what he gives. I think we should change the subject to Oil so someone on here might actually give some weight to Sled Puller's opinion :-laf :-laf .

So, are you a non-union driver?

Yep, free agent. Oo.

Since were having a nice dialogue exchange, I feel comfortable enough to ask you if I can purchase one of those P-pump chips :) Hey, gotta go, I have an 11:00 job interview in town at the restaurant, later... ... .....

Do I sense some negativity from you? Don't think we've ever talked before, and maybe I'm just reading something into it. Anyway, the P-pump chips as you call it, are in beta test only... can't sell them at this time.

Fletch, I’m familiar with your truck, should make a good weasel hunter. I think you want have any problem staying a head of the weighty, dawdling, weasel. I hear their only a nocturnal creature, as no one ever seems to have seen one perform. Just the dung they seem to leave behind, some people proclaim that it’s the digested remnants of a magnificent animal that the MEGA MENTAL weasel has subjugated and devoured, but my guess it’s just fabrication and mendacity.

You may not like the way Comp posts, but fact is so far he has made the quickest pass on record in a full bodied race truck. So far Bentz has made the quickest pass of record in a rail. So far Jeff Garmon owns the fastest pass of record in a 2500 chassis, and so far either Fletcher or Richard own the fastest time in a full bodied truck.

There are quite a few race trucks being built. Edge, Schied, and others, but until one of them steps up and makes a pass of record to better the ones mentioned above, in my mind, they are the kings. All others are attempting to reach and surpass that level.

And I hate it when I see this "top secret" stuff. I hate it when I see stats talking about 6 seconds and 200 mph in the 1/4 when it hasn't happened. Goals are great and no doubt in most cases I think these will be reached, but to dog someone that has already done a fantastic job of leading the way in their class is just in poor taste IMO. People say Comp should not brag, well if I was making 8 second passes in a diesel powered drag truck, I'd be pretty proud too. The problem is Comp is not running under a name many are impressed with so from the beginning, they have trashed him and the sponsor.

Well said Dave,

As always, Dave Dunbar shows what a class act he is. His words were well spoken and to the point without any disrespect towards anyone.

I certainly have my personal opinions of many people, those whom I know of and those whom I have met in person. Dave pretty much summed it all up. You gotta respect those who are doing it, and those who intend to as long as they're not just blowin wind. It takes lots of time and effort to do something which is not a duplication of what has allready been done before. Deep pockets are a big plus, but it takes true passion for what you're doing to not only get-r-done, but also earn the respect of others. Prime examples are Jim Fulmer and David Dunbar along with many, many others.

Respect is earned, not given. And it can be lost as quickly as a broken trust too.

Just my opinion,

Cousin Billy

I agree w/ cousin Billy, Mr. Dunbar possesses the highest integrity of any person I know.

And, I'm sure my ½ brother (mom's side) “Richard” will concede to my runs :)

Thanks guys, totally unfounded and undeserving but brought tears to my eyes. ( The tears because Fletcher has a new toy and I don't).
