Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 3000 or 4000 gsk

have a question for those of you with the 4000 kit do you have problems with the throttle response being to to sensitive off idle. or is it the same as stock? I will be upgrading this spring but it will be for towing/fun.

Has 160 pump stock turbo. Will go with 10 plate and 3 or 4 gsk installing gauges this winter before the bombing starts. Oo.

go with the four. install all but the smallest springs. that will give you a 3k kit. if you feel thats not enough, install the small spring and get the 12 hd valve springs. the 4k springs were pretty sensitive but my clutch didnt slip till i went down to the 3k kit. dont rev the engine over 3200 rpm unless you get the valve springs.

I would go with the 4k GSK to start with. Garmon put one on a truck for me, and it made a huge difference. He removed the plate completely, and adjusted timing as well. . It made my 160 pump and stock turbo run really well. . The trans didn't like it much though.
