Okay I got my 3000rpm gsk from Piers today, (man they're fast:) ), I know we've been through this so just some quick tips would be nice. Also, what's with this top or side debate? On the instructions what are they showing the top or the side? This is the first time I'm going near my afc housing and fuel pump (no fuel mods or afc adjustments yet), so lead me on members.

Kalaehina, I think you have a digital camera right? TAKE ME SOME PICTURES! PLEASE!

Let me know how you think the install goes.

I'm comtemplating installing my own 3K GSK when I get them now:confused:

I can't wait to read what both of you say in 6 Months, something like... ... Gov springs are the easiest job there is! Piers's instructions are through the side, there is more room that way other than the lines in your way, I can now change mine in about 20 Min but I've played with them plenty of times. Do your self a favor and get a 22 MM socket and a 1/2 drive ratchet and roll the motor over back wards from the alternator instead of climbing under the truck. Also a 2 lb magnet works best for pulling the springs out but a extend able little one is great to have also.

If you haven't done a plate (or had the AFC off) then the side will be the easiest. I think the instructions are probably complete and should walk you thru it.

The one part that can be difficult is putting the plug back. (just ask TStetson) There is something more to remove to line it up properly. Can't remember what it is exactly, (like a mounting plate for some linkage of some kind) and it looks like it is only close, but not interfering. If you have trouble putting the plug back, take it off to get more room.

Enjoy! It's really not that hard and well worth it. Oo.

Okay cool, cool, getting some confidence here, cool. Got smoke, I don't have a digital camera:{ yet but I think I should get one so my gallery would be up to date, cuz she's changing by the week! I'll let you know how it went, when I get to it, still gotta get "jiggy" with the KDP, then Pacbrake, with Bob V. s E/F knob then 3000 gsk's, whew! Fun Fun Fun!!!

The bracket that bighammer is talking about is for the fuel shut off, take the top bolt of the arm out and loosen the bottom so you can swing it around out of the way then snug it back up. I'm trying some new things out with mine now and if I can remember I'll get some pics tomorrow as I will change them around 2 more times.
