I came across a set of genuine Bosch injectors for the 1998. 5 - 2002 Dodge trucks today and the seller stated that they were 300HP injectors used in Cummins fire engine motors. Is this true? I had heard of 275HP injectors but never 300HP. Are they for real?

Yeah, there for real.

Cummins used to manufacture a 300hp ISB for industrial/commercial use.

This was after the high horsepower 275hp ISB.

24 valve with a VP44.

I asked this same question last week and everyone said that it was not correct I am glad someone else saw them and if you are looking at towing they would be better than going to dd2' or 3's wouldn't they??

Darn, I saw this thread and thought maybe it meant injectors capable of an additional 300hp. :( That would peek my interest!!:D

Bosch 300 hp injectors

Well I just installed my new Bosch 300 hp injectors, purchased off ebay. Very impressive!! Great throttle response and extremely smooth idle. The install went well, I have a couple of small leaks near the injector lines. There was some light corrosion around the end that inserts into the injector tube. Right now I am running the upgraded injectors, FASS system, Edge EZ and an AFE Air Filter. I tow a 8000lb travel trailer like a dream. I'm wondering how long my auto transmission will hold up?

next time someone buys a set of the 300 hp injectors, please post the part number

cause Bosch doesn't even list a 300 for the 24v, could just be a 275

I thought they were the same injector except the 300's come from an 8. 3, and the 275's from the 5. 9. Same injector different application.

I was looking at a matrix just yesterday for ISB uprateability. It looked to me like anything from 260-300 HP took the same injector, and it was a calibration change for different HP levels. I went and tried to find the matrix this morning and I can't seem to find it to give out the Cummins P/N. If I run across it I will post it.

I just put the same injectors in my 99, and I had light corrosion at the bottom of the thru-head connector also. Have a lousy idle though. Was there anything to install besides the o-ring and 1 copper . 060 washer on the injectors? Mine came with a bag of parts that we couldn't find a spot for (square o-rings, copper banjo washers, extra set of . 060 washers). We figured these were for a 98. 5 with a different head style. Any feedback??
