The 305's will rub a little in a full lock turn. I've seen them on a couple of trucks and they work fine... drive good, wear good, and look good (Pathfinder ATR).
The problem with going to aftermarket wheels is the stupid offset. They stick out farther and, because of that, they rub worse. A friend of mine has had aftermarket wheels (2 different kinds) and they rub with 285's!
Also, because of the offset, the tires stick out farther than the fenders. Not only does it look kind of dopey, but if you get in the mud on the jobsite or whatever, they throw mud onto the windshield.
