305/70-17 Tire ?

Dose anyone run these? What is the pros and cons of this size? Mainly! Is the MPG better than 35/12. 50-17? I run the 35s on my 05 4x4 3. 73 now. Looks great!! MPG is bad. I may have to go to a 33 tire to get better MPG's. Trying to find a tire between a 33 and a 35... ... Thanks for the help!

I ran 'em on my '03 & '04 1500 Rams, they wore really well, not a lot of road noise. MPG suffered some but not terribly, although I did a gear swap as well. 4. 10's on one and 4. 56 on the other.



The only reason I'm not running them now is they're a D-rated tire and for a 3/4 diesel an E-rated tire is recommended, because some people running the 315 BFG's are getting death wobble. Some have no problems, just a toss up I guess.

no death wobble with my truck and 315's under it. .

JBoone, I'm running the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's in a 305 and I'm still getting 16-18 around town and 20-23 on the highway. These are also hand calculated #'s, and I had the truck reflashed to match the tire size to the speedometer so it won't be off. Great tire, have no complaints.
