Nothing special really to report here, just wanted to say passed the 30K mile mark on my 2001 24 valver and everything is fine. I might regret these words later, but so far looks like I have a good solid build. Only thing I had it back for is the "hard hot restart" computer TSB upgrade, and an alternator day after I drove it off the lot. Mostly city driving and some weekend farm work, and the truck suits me just fine, yeah I'm one of those who really didn't need to buy a diesel, but dangit I was surrounded by Cummins power on the farm and just couldn't resist. Hope my next 30K and beyond goes as good as the first.

JD-

I am at 30k myself and seem to be just as happy with the truck as the day I brought it home. I lost a cam angle sensor within 3-miles after first rolling off the dealer lot, replaced the center console due to broken hinge, and now am getting ready to have the lift pump replaced. Other than that, it has been great! Hopefully the next 470,000 miles will be just as fun!:D

I'm right there with you. My 2001. 5 ETH has 29,8XX as of this morning. Only problem I have had was the clock spring. I can't say I enjoy it as much as I did the first 6 months... ... it was stock that long. Now I enjoy it soooooo much more :D:D:D:D:D:D

Going to Amsoil HDD&M 15W-40 in the engine in another 2000 - 3000 at next change, then it will be Amsoiled everywhere.

Me too...

My 01 just rolled 40k and other than a failed lift pump (fixed by the then-valid warrantee:D ) it has been a sweetheart.

Over 50k...

Still going strong. Has been back to the dealer once for the hitch recall. New lift pump a few weeks ago. Installed it myself. Other than that nothing. The truck is still good and tight. Oh,yeah brake pads at 40k,(partly my fault for smoking them a couple of times before the exhaust brake),and tires. Doug

30k & going strong

Well, I myself just turned 30k miles in eight months. Only problem has been my clock spring (3 times!). But other than that the truck has been perfect! Putting on some new tires and wheels this week since the back ones are toast. Going bigger, wider... BETTER! My dads 2001 has just turned 60k most of which has been put on going up and down the Baja to Cabo every week. He's like a kid with a new toy! Going to give him a membership to TDR for Christmas and change his rig over to Amsoil Synthetics! Might just be the most valuable gift of all! Happy holidays to you all!!

29K

I liked this ' 01 truck the day I bought it and it's only gotten better with eack BOMB I've done to it. Now I love it. Where else are you going to get a street drivable 400+HP vehicle that gives you 18. 9 mpg in the city? Plus it SINGS too!!!!:D :D :D :D

29k on mine still runs great, been in for the flash on eng. stumple and bad speaker in rt. door. Hope the next 30k is just as trouble free. :)
