sweet!!!!!!!

man! this is a sweet truck now!it shifts so good! power to spare! just a few little glichs to fix. i have a small fuel leak coming off the return line on top of the motor,of course that means taking the air filter system off to find the leak. next is a funny think the injector pump does,when you give it fuel and then let it go back to idle it stalls for just a second,then picks back up. but if you hit the throttle right after it retuns to idle it will shut off. when you are driving it and shifting gears it will shut off on every shift,unless you keep the rpms up during the shift,not letting it return to idle. anybody got any ideas? its an inline pump on an 8. 3 cummins.

well,last monday i took the pump off and took it to a local shop. i got it back friday,put it on and its fine now! just need to turn the fuel up a touch!i do have to do a few more things,i need a speedometer cable and i need to put the shifter in for the brownie. no big deal!at least its back on the road again!

ok guys,today i had to run to jacksonville to pickup some junk i bought,my gooseneck trailer weighs 10,000 lbs,i picked up about 12,500 lbs,so trailer loaded weighed in at 22,500 lbs,empty i cruised along in 10th gear at 1500rpm at about 70mph,sweet! i figured loaded i may have to run in 9th gear,but,big surprise! ran home in 10th,1500-1700 rpm,no problem! this 8. 3 is one bad ass cummins! only has 10 lbs of boost max. must be detuned because it was a military engine,i need turbo help now! i'm very happy!

i think the brownie i have is too small for a 2 ton truck. the allison i have is a 4 speed,no computer, i also have the flywheel housing and flexplate for a 6bt that fits the allison. what engine are you putting in your 2 ton?

I really want 22. 5" alcoas



2+ton trucks have the right pattern. the F450 have 19. 5's which would definitely work.



I could always get adapters.



What's your buddy have ? year?
