Hey guys,

Just a note to let ya know that tirerack.com is running a "special" on the BF 315/70/17's. $154 each, in stock.

A week or two ago, they had them at $125 each. A few weeks prior, they were somewhere around $179 each. A few weeks prior to that, they were $117 each. Go figure huh??

Yesterday while killing some time (looking for more crap for the new truck), I ran across a BF "salesman". I asked what the heck gives with the prices of the 315's.

He told me that there was a huge over run for the oem hummer supply. They (BF) were trying to get rid of the inventory and were selling them to the dealers at $72-$95 each.

He also said that the "normal" price on these tires for the dealer is about $139 a tire. And the set price at most dealers will be around $200 each. Once the over runs are out, there will be no more cheap 315's.

My second generation Dodge buddy just had these tires installed this a. m. (285, 16 inch tires). They looked good. I liked the tread design. We'll know after he gets some miles on how they sound and how they wear. I'm putting off on buying 17 inch tires until the factory tires are worn out. Hopefully, by then, there will be more choices and lower prices.
