I kinda like the raw look without the caps a bit better. I have to get some real lug nuts some day. Glad to hear you found a smokin deal on the tires. My set of 5 with rims was $500. Very happy w/them. I didn't turn the centers down on a lathe though. I just hacked the lip out with a 4 1/2" grinder. It was late and I wanted to mount them bad and have no lathe -- yet. =(
That would look cool if you could find a way to polish the end of the hub! Or it might look OK if you just painted that hummer cap black to match... that might look kinda funny too tho... did you get those for free? Do they look better than the stock ones? Or did you get them because they are wider and you didn't want to bald the center of your new tires?
The Dodge center caps are almost the diameter of the Hummer caps. They don't fit though because of the depth of the rim. It puts the lugnuts in about an inch deeper than the Dodge wheels. Some guys have bored a large hole in the center to recess the Dodge cap into a hole in the wheel. (about an inch I think) I had thought about cutting an inch off of the caps to not take material off the wheel, but the 03 caps are staying with my wheels for now. Maybe if I find an extra set cheap... .
