I was pulling into my normal parking space and noticed the clearance was 6'4"s. I know a stock Ram will fit as I see them in the garage, but will one with the 315 tires fit? Anyone know what the actual height is with the 315's?

TIA

Mine has stock suspension and stock 265s and I measured my clearance with a tape measure to 7 ft. I'm 6ft and my truck is way more than 4 inches taller than me, so I wouldn't even go in that garage bone stock.

4x2 or 4x4 is the question.

My 4x4 2500 will not fit in a 6'7" parking garage. My roof will scrape the bottom of the sign with stock 265 tires. Yes, I have tried it, and yes I backed up before the clearance sign scratched my frail paint.

I only have about a 1" clearance on the garage at home, so this may infuence my future tire purchases, or cause me to get out the tools and make a cut out in the top of the opening to match the roof of the truck:D

This is odd, as I see stock Rams in the garage that I park in. The garage is actually 6'6", but the bar I have to get under to enter the garage says 6'4". Could it be that the marking on the garage I'm entering is higher then posted???? Being only 5'7" it seems all fullsize trucks are taller then me.

I wouldn't doubt that the markings are not exaclty correct. One of the reasons you hear of semis getting stuck under bridges is that truckers know all bridge heights are marked as being shorter than they really are, so they add like 6" to a 1' to what the sign says, next thing you know, they'r letting air out of the tires and smearing vaseline on the roof of the trailer.

I have tried two different garages marked 6'7" and my truck would have barley scraped the bottom of both signs. I parked ins a garage marked 6' 8" with no problem a couple weeks ago.
