Power mirrors & windows on my 2004.5 ST Ram!

I have an 06' 2500 2wd stock front suspension and 2" drop shackles in the rear. I'm getting new wheels for the truck and to my understanding the stock back spacing of the stock wheel is at 5.0" to 5.2". The wheels I'm going to go with at 20X10 with a -18 offset and 4.75 back spacing. In theory it should fit just fine after I checked the back spacing clearance with a straight edge and a tape measure. Im not sure what exact measurements I had for complete clearance with full turn but I remembered it should work.

Does anyone have any specific experience with measuring backspacing and check clearances with custom offset wheels?

I'm looking at a 20X10 -18 offset and 4.75" back spacing with a 305/55/r20 nitto 420's tires.

Any suggestions welcome.

The stock wheels are +44, -18 is going to stick out quite a bit and will be very close to rubbing the rear of the front fender, hard to say if it will clear or not.

Here is a reference photo of a different truck with that exact wheel set up. This was a guy was featured in an article online. That’s his wheel and tire set up.

FYI, if you wheels stick beyond the fender more than 1", you're supposed to have flairs. You could be held liable for stone damage to others. More states are beginning to enforce this law due to insurance push back. Just a friendly heads up.

I think you may need fenders flares to cover your tires. I know I needed them for my 2008, truck with my aftermarket tires and wheels, in IL.
See pic below.

Jim you have a great looking truck!! I like it.

as far as fender flares, thank you for the suggestion. That’s not the look I’m going for with my truck. I’m not saying that don’t look good I’m looking for a narrow body and wide tire looks without going with a super crazy offset.

Thanks again and I like the mega cab you got there!!

What brand of fender flares are those? and where did you get them?
Thanks

These are Bushwacker Fender Flares part number 50904, (part number may have changed), I purchased the Fender Flares in 2017, from either AMAZON or an online supplier.

I was stop by the state police and was told I need to cover the tires on my truck. They stuck out too far from the fenders in his opinion, no ticket was issued just a verbal warning. He lives in my neighborhood; so, he passes the truck almost daily when the truck sits out on the driveway.

Thanks for the heads up Jim!! I’ll do some research about laws against it in my state of GA.
