This post is VERY interesting to me. 22mpg w/ an EDGE COMP? Is this hand calculated or overhead reading?

Hand calculated on several tanks during my drive back from Arizona to Virginia. It was hitting right at the 21. 89 or so the three times I did it. I rounded up to 22.

That was around . 6-. 9 off from the overhead as I recall.

Of course I am going over 55, more like 70-80 most of the time when on highway runs.

Why is that mileage so hard to believe, from what I read that is fairly common on these trucks. If I was getting more or less that is what I would have stated, no need to exaggerate mileage, what would that get me...

BTW, I am fairly sure that my truck only has the mods listed in my sig, but I bought it the way it is right now, so I am not certain about things like injectors and what not.

Maybe when I step up to 35" tires my fuel mileage will increase over 3 mpg? I've never had anything but stock size tires on my truck.

As far as I know, 22 mpg isn't fairly common... . SOMEONE PLEASE CHIME IN IF I AM WRONG!!!! Who else is seeing these kinds of numbers?

It's not sarcasm. More astonishment then anything because I have NEVER seen mileage that high out of my truck since the day I bought it new. I'll check out the other thread. Thank you

Is your speedo accurate? It is also very rare to see an overhead that is that close to accurate with a box on it.

This is what I was thinking for the last couple days. However, if you install bigger tires your 'stock' speedo setting would read slower and therefore rack up LESS miles per tank, meaning LESS hand calculated MPG.

Since I have read this thread I have installed my stock injectors, filled up the tank ($120 later #@$%!), and now driving it VERY easy. I'll let you all know what happens.

That is a good question. I just bought this truck setup the way it is from a dealer in Phoenix about 4 weeks ago. I asked him the same question and he stated the speedo had been calibrated for the tires, however I have only done a comparison to my wifes Magnum running down the highway at 60mph and mine was right at 60 also, but that is a crude test...

I intend to GPS test it at some point soon. :)
