I have a chance to buy a BD 330 HP fuel plate at an attractive price, but I have some questions for those who might have a similar plate.
1 Can I slide this back to approximate the 280 plate? How far back would this be?
2 A while back I saw in a thread that some plates cause a strange power curve. Good off idle, so-so mid band, then good top end. The cause (if memory serves me) is that the cam plate doesnt contact the portion of the injection pump properly. (or something like that
) Will/does this plate do this, or is it cut "properly"? I suspect it is, as (again if memory serves me) Piers wrote this thread.
3 I plan on the 370 injectors at a later date. Would this be compatible?
4 would my stock cluch live with this plate slid back?
I do tow on occasion. I'd also like to do the governor spring kit, at a later date, and bump the timing up a little.
TIA
Eric
