Has anybody else experiences these codes along with what seems to be defueling around 16-20 psi? I had this issue a couple weeks ago and thought it was my TST box. I sent the box back and got the newest updated program, but it's back again.

It seems to be when the truck is being worked in the lower RPM's especially in 5th and 6th gears. If I roll the boost on and wait till the RPM's are around 2,000 then cut it loose, it will boost to 40-50 psi and not have any issues. However, if I am below 2,000 and try to hold it at 16-20 psi, it actually sounds like it is barking the turbo and the boost startes to fluctuate. You can actually here the turbo fluttering. The fluctuating boost makes me think that it is fuel related.

The first time the truck did this was about 6 motnhs after I installed it on my truck. The truck set a CEL and both 336 and 341 codes. While the box was off and being reflashed the CEL went off and the 341 code cleared itself. The 336 code stayed however. Well, after getting the box back from the reflash the truck ran good and the CEL was not coming on till last night. Now I have the CEL and both codes again. Along with the turbo flutter and huffing noise. I am not so sure if it is the TST box or if it's not the wiring harness for the box. I turned the box totally off last night and ran the truck stock, but it still reacted the same way.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Since the 336 code never cleared the whole time I had it off, I am going to take it tomorrow to have the code erased. Hopefully it is something as simple as that. :(

Since one code is for the crank sensor and the other one is for the cam sensor it would seem to be a TST issue.

That's what I was thinking. Especially since they both tie into the same harness. I just wonder why the one code cleared itself when the box was off and the other didn't.

336 and 341 code trouble

I had the same trouble with my truck as far as codes. I have the exact same truck and same products. The code problem with mine ended up being a connection problem at the cam sensor. The wiring harness plug , had a terminal that was spread just a little. I tightened it and it has been great ever since. Check your harness. I had my TST reflashed as well, did you find the power to be different after the reflash?

First off Welcome to the TDR!;)

I think the power seems to be OK after the reflah, just a lot smoother. I am going to re dyno it sometime within the month and will know for sure. The thing that drives me nuts is I just drove the truck for an hour to work and not a spit or sputter at all. I think I have it narrowed down to when the RPM's are under 2,000. When I am crusing on the interstate I tun at least 65 mph which puts me just over the 2,000 RPM mark. I have had the harness apart at least 6-7 times since I boought the TST. Maybe I bent a connector. The past 3 times I have taken it off after the codes started showing. I took them off those times to clean and put dielectric grease on them.

my six gun boxdid the same thing, the the harness had them crossed. they are the same connector

Yeh I know they are the same connector. They are kinda hard to screw up on the TST unless you really aren't paying attention to the instructions. The last one in the string of wires goes to the Crank Sensor.

Anyway, the codes have cleared themselves.
