put my old 33x12. 50R16. 5s on tonight and am looking for a good recommendation on a new tire same size, and a steering stabalizer. not sure if any work better than another or if their all the same.

I haven't had a steering stabilizer on my truck since it broke off just after my purchase. That being said, I had 35" BFG A/Ts on it for 20K miles with no stabilizer and no problems. If you need a stabilizer for your current tires, you need to figure out what is actually wrong and fix it. I consider a stabilzer a band-aid fix.

the 33's seem to wander more than the 235's did. all my front is good. I checked it then i took it to a shop and they checked it.

If the truck is just wandering a bit, it's probably due to the tires being wider. More rubber on the ground covering more of your lane. Now, if it is pulling or darting around that is a different story.

Every vehicle I've put wider tires on definently wondered more but a stabilizer won't cure that. Mine had 33's with no stabilizer and was fine but got a little more harsh with the new 39. 5's so I put a duel on. Still wonders and follows the road but helped the bump steer and smoothed everything out.
