35" spare tire mount

Well, it looks like I can take full advantage of the bed now. Last night, I mounted the tire beneath the bed. Only had to make slight adjustment to the exhaust to achieve about a 1/4" clearance with the tire. I believe this should be enough but will monitor on occasion. Thanks for all the info guys, and next time I'll use a little more patience. James

The rear has a removable swing-a-way that carries a 35" spare on one side and another swing-a-way on that carries 4 gerry cans on the other side.

I had the same issue with my exhaust being in the way, so I mounted mine in the bed. Reason I chose this configuration is that it gave me the most space in the bed.

wouldn't standing it straight up give you the most space in the bed?

I honestly don't know the weight of the rear bumper. I do know that it has no trouble carrying 20 gallons of fuel/water on one side along with a 35 inch spare/high lift jack on the other. It's also got a built in tool box inside the bumper.
