How Old Were Your Kids When They Quit Believing in Santa?

In The Aftermath of 9/11 - Preparation

I sure as heck hope they make some money. For as much time and effort I have seen put into it, but mostly it goes unoticed.

Do you realize what it costs to run a website of this size, and this is just the website. I am sure its a helluva alot more then you think. Want a couple of brand new trucks? Don't forget printing, postage, etc. on the magazines.

And last time I checked there were 16,000 members of the TDR.

I don't think it's the intent of the TDR administration to become a non-profit organization. Instead, let's think about the quality of service we get for our dollar (or should I say $35). It doesn't get better than this boys and girls. Just keep reading my posts... now that's quality!

LOL

Doc

Doc, I like your style! Folks that don't make $ are generally not around to help you next time you need them. I wished just once someone would walk into my dealership and ask; "What's the most you will take for that RV"?????????

Have any of you noticed that the cost of membership has never gone up? It's always been $35 since day one! If there is a price increase someday, I won't argue it one bit! How much money has the TDR saved me? I couldn't begin to figure that out. Just one "never-do-this" or "always-make-sure-you-... " tip can save each of us a whole lot more than $35!! Plus there's the great aftermarket products that have popped up on account of the TDR. Look how many members have started their own businesses because they came up with a better idea. Then there's the friendships that we've all made, you can't put a price on that. Without the TDR, most of us wouldn't know each other.

I know there are many who log on to this website who are to cheap to pay their membership, and they get all this information for free while the rest of us happily fork out the money. They're the same kind of people who drive solo in the carpool lanes and... oh, nevermind, this postings getting too long anyway. You get my point.

Happy Holidays to the TDR staff and members!

Andy

Why would you care? Do you get your $ worth out of being one here? If so then I say it is a fair deal, if not don't renew. I get my money back out of the information on this site, and the enjoyment is icing. I really don't care if someone makes money, I like to do it myself actually. If I buy something from you and you charge me 10 times what you have in it, is it a not a square deal if I am happy with what I recieved for my money? Let's move on.

not that it really matters,,i was just curious though,, i see that the tdr admin. and geno's have the same mailing address. are they both operated by the same people?

10¢ a day is a cheap price to pay. Just think of how much they also make off the magizine and internet ads. I'm glad for them and hope they keep up with the excellent job.

Excellent, Andy......

Didn't see this post till tonite, but today as I was changing my fuel filter for the third time since new, I was kinda thinking the same thing. Got my little checklist right there in front of me (that I got off the TDR from another helpful member)..... taking my time, chest all puffed out with false pride thinking I'm some kinda magician with wrenches..... double checked the list as I buttoned it all up..... then held my breath for the dreaded "bump the starter"... ... listen to the lift pump cycle..... and then, crank it over... ... pray it runs for more than 15 seconds... ... whew!

Man, I love this site.....

Merry Christmas

Joe

cheap entertainment and educational too!!

I spend a couple of hours a day lurking on this site. It's absolutely amazing what you can learn about our beloved Cummins.

I installed gauges on the "A" pillar, purchased from Genos and very pleased with the way it turned out. I could not have done this without the help of this site and with Evan Beck's posting re the wiring instructions.

I wish all my "investments" turned out as good as this subscription :( :( :( :(

Yeah, I'll second that one. This has been the best $35 investment I have ever made. Saved nearly $4500 on the purchase of my new Ram. I learned everything I need to know about maintaining my new diesel, hell, I even decided WHICH diesel to buy between the big three because of this site. Unlike the Mustang web sites that I am used to, people here try to help each other, without the

usual BS. Here, MEMBERS make the difference, we feel we belong to something, and for me this means that the small investment is what separates the bull####ers from the truth.

As far as a profit being made, this is America, no one should get their feathers ruffled because someone else had the vision to make something great. Membership is voluntary. I'm sticking around! JMHO

Anybody that thinks publishing a magizine is a "get rich quick" walk in the park, needs to contact me about some ocean front property I have for sale in Colorado.

Well one thing most people don't even consider is the cost of the website itself... ... ..... thats a hefty $$$ figure in itself.
