3500 DRW to SRW

Has anyone tried it? I love my 3500 DRW, I just do not haul heavy any more. The duals make a big toll difference in the NYC area. As I recall it is $40.oo + to go through the tunnel into Manhattan.

I am wondering if it is just a matter of removing the outer dual and the flairs, or if I would have to get a SRW rear axle.

Any information would be appreciated.

It to bad you want to do this now. I just converted mine to a dually, we could have swapped everything. There are bolts in the bed that hold the flares on, also you will need to have the correct wheels when you take off the outer wheels. They make a nice super single that might work and look good. I personally would swap everything so the cosmetics look right. The rear end along with the front hubs. The front hubs just unbolt, but then you would need different wheels. Its not a hard job just several things need to happen.
