3500 miles in 11 days

Just finished the trip, loads of fun. MPG was 12-13 @ 70 MPH. Got to drive a 02 PSD, see Garden of the Gods, Devils Tower, State 14 to Yellowstone, drive through a winter storm, saw temps of 19F, froze water pipes inside the TT, Grand Tetons, it went by so fast. Didnt get to drive on Wy State Rd 16 because of snow, and didnt get to drop in on WyoJim . Truck was fine except for 1st gear Got the exhaust brake installed 2 days before we left, definately a good investment, and it sure save me on the ice

I ran from Florence, Kentucky to Brewer, Maine and back in 40 hours. (Approx 2500 miles)

Texas Diesel... . Sounds like you had a fun trip. Sorry you missed me, it would have been the highlight of your trip.

I went through Yellowstone on 10/9. Seems to still have quite a bit of traffic. Saw two different coyotes pan handling cars that had stopped. First time I have seen this. Reminded me of the Yellowstone bear jams in the 1960's.

Anyhow I am glad you had a good trip. I will be in Texas this winter and will return the favor.

Using an engine brake on slippery roads is not a good practice. It will lock you up and your control is lost .
