Another topic that has been beat to death but searching the archives did not do me any good. I need mudflaps for my 3500 but don't want diamond plate (like Northwest Custom). Looking for good black flaps with stainless weight and anti-sail. Been thinking about DEE-ZEE, Stull, and KaydenCo. Any opinions?

They have a 18" x 25" black vynal mud flap with a red ram logo and a blue cumminnc "C" logo. I paid somewhere around $25. 00 two years ago and they still look great.

NW Custom also does a straight rubber mudflap, with the stainless steel weights for the "anti-sail" effect. I believe the cost is around $129. 00, and he has adjusted the size up/out a few inches to cover the bigger tire size on the new 3500 Rams.

Just put on my Cummins mud flaps and they look great. They are about 1/4" thick and very stiff. Check out the Cummins store at: http://www.powerstore. cummins.com/. They were only $32. Good deal!

I would not put any mud flap that have chrome on them on my truck again. You are just asking for RUST!

Northwest Custom is the only way to go! Wish I would have known about them before I bought the Pro-flaps that have chrome on them. I'm just waiting for the RUST so I can justify purchasing some real mud flaps from Northwest Custom!

Hey Bob, I got the second set of brushed stainless steel mud flaps made by NW Custom. I have a 2500 4x4 however, Jason offers either 12" wide or 18" wide rear mud flaps for these (18" wide only for the 3500). I elected to go with the 18" wide version. In addition, I had the Rams head emblem added to the center portion of the mud flaps with the DODGE logo in the weights. The weights, emblems and the flap mounts are all precision cut with a water jet. They look awesome and functionally they are vastly superior to anything else on the market.

One thing I really like about NW Custom mud flaps is the patented design of the flap mount... they have a 2. 5" set back for the front flaps, a 5" set back for the rear flaps. This leaves plenty of room so you are not backing over your flaps. Another plus about the NW Custom mud flaps, you can get the rubber portion of the flaps cut to any length you want or left extra long (as Andy Perreault did) so you can custom cut them to length once you've performed a fitment check. I had Jason cut both my front and rear flaps to my custom dimensions based on input from Jason and carefull measuring and calculating.

Since you live somewhat close to me, maybe we could get together so you could get a look at them.

Dmurdock... thanks for fixing the link to NWCustom!

John... Jason now offers a 20 inch wide flap, cause of the wider stock tires being offered.

I agree with Big Bob... chrome, at least around here, is a big rust pile waiting to happen. Even with me waxing the chrome, it rusts. PITA!

John, do you have a pic anywhere on here for those of us that aren't that close? Thanks, Doug

So, it sounds like Jason makes the custom cuts with something other than diamond plate for the setback? I don't have a problem with diamond plate but the Mrs. is not keen on it. Since she is the one that suggested we get a truck with more horsepower and torque, I have to listen to how she wants it too look. Besides, in about three years, this truck and the new trailer will be home sweet home.

I'll give Jason a call. John, thanks for the offer to see yours, if I get a chance I'll take you up on the offer. In the meantime, any pictures?

Hey Bob and X-10, I don't have any pics that show off my NW Custom mud flaps, unless... I can enlist my good friend Rob Hanson to take some digital pics with his cool new camera. BTW, Rob was the one who took the pics of my Ram for DTT. With Rob's camera expertise and trick enhancements by DTT's webmaster, that cover pic turned out awesome!

Bob, if you are interested maybe we could meet half way for a visit. If you are not in any real hurry to procure your rear mud flaps you could see mine at Dyno Days... or on the convoy up.

Hey Rob, what do you think... up for a few more pics? (... and I don't mean ones of that stupid mailbox either #ad

I ordered mine from MoPar parts, they are black and say "Dodge" on the lower bottom. They were predrilled and used the factory plastic plug holes that hold on the inner splashshield--only hole that needed drilled is one on each rear for the long support. They are plyable, but ridged enough that they will not sail.
Part Number 82203036-rears @ $28. 50 set
82401334-front @ $21. 75 set
While your at it order the sill kit to protect your painted door sills-872204880 @ $16. 50-they are very nice.

On my way to Portland on Thursday I was pulled over by a WSP and informed that I need mudflaps to be within the law. Anyone else have this experience?

Also, decided I'm going to go with the Dodge flaps ($38, cheaper than ticket), until I decide what I really want to do.

Bob... check these out... this is John's truck, with the NW Custom mudflaps. They now make them 20 inches wide, I think these are 18 inches. (BTW, this is an old pic that I scanned. )
