I am not sure but I think I am 68' overall, need to re measure and write it down.

I went with a 3500 SRW solely because I didn't want the complicated rear end suspension on the 2500, and I was buying my first ever auto transmission. I wanted the Aisin.

Must be tough floating the boat off with out getting the carpet in the cab wet....Lol . You must have a good snorkel for the engine..... Sorry just had to laugh when I saw the pic. Reminds me of a true story that happened up on Lake George many years ago.
This Blond buys a new Bayliner boat and trailer package. Launches it on the state Ramp by Ticonderoga on Lake George. She brings the boat into the local marina complaining that it's very sluggish and has no speed. THe yard sends the Service Tec out to the boat now moored to their fuel dock. The Tec goes through a full engine check, compression test, spark test, everything looks good. He runs the boat with the lady and sure enough the boat can't get out of it's own way. Like it's dragging something but upon checking the prop and lower unit finds nothing out of place. They decide to haul the boat with the yard lift and then they find it...… Wait for it..... The boat trailer is still attached to the boat. The trailer was just small enough that unless you were looking for it you'd have never noticed it was still under the boat. The Blond and notice I'm not saying man or woman here just Blond... did not know that the boat had to be un strapped from the trailer. they thought all you do was back everything into the water un hook and enjoy. True story. I was there the day they hauled the boat out.....

Yes, I agree with the uneven road concern. But there is still 8 sidewalls in the rear rather than 4, and it does help prevent side to side motion at the back of the truck to reduce the tail wagging the dog issues. I have a temp gun and yes the inside duals are usually warmer. In part due to different amounts a air movement and the inside of the rims being full of heat producing sources like bearings and brakes that both produce heat and restrict the airflow. The dash pressure monitor reflects this temperature difference as well with the insides increase in psi a little more than the outsides.
But there’s no substitute for duals in certain top heavy loads like slide in campers etc.

Can you post a video of how you get it up there?

I don’t have a video, but I have pictures from when I was doing preliminary clearance test. It hydraulically lowers at the rear once the rear support arm is swung up out of the way, ramps are slid out from under the boat trailer and it is rolled on/off with an 8000lb winch with a wireless remote. The process takes about 20 minutes. The ramps were modified after these photos to have another flip out section that makes them 12’ long overall. Two big turnbuckles and two bolts and I’m down the road.

Winch?

The winch pulls it up the ramps and backs it down the ramps. It’s mounted just behind the cab brake light, goes forward to a snatch block at the very front of the frame above the hood, then back to two slings that are each attached to the frame just ahead of the trailer axle.
