3500 ?

A friend of mine who is up on his knowlege of Dodge Trucks, saw a 00 or 01 black sport single wheel with 3500 decals on the doors,I did'nt think they made a single wheel 3500. Does anyone know if its an option or did this guy just replace his 2500 decals?

Yeh, we sell all kinds of them up here. The dual wheels are the expensive option.

There has never been a 3500 series single-rear-wheel RAM made, at least not in the second generation of trucks.

More than likely somebody changed the decals.

Don't know how long they have been offering them, but have seen several new ones at my closest dealer, they don't have extended fenders and are cheaper. Everything else is supposedly the same.

I thought that I saw a couple of them also. However on the Dodge website it said that the 3500 4x2 or 4x4 only came with the package of long wheel base and duel rear wheels.

There has got to be more to the 3500 than just 2 extra rear wheels over the 2500. The front spindles/hub is different ie... 1 ton rims. The rear end housing is different(width), brakes, bearings, tie rods, ball joints ect...

But I may be wrong--I usually am.
