No appreciable change until you pull a heavy trailer (10k or so). That's when you feel the larger tires and find the need to downshift sooner.

I ran 315s (34. 4") for over two years. I did not really notice much power loss empty, but I have always had some performance mods. Lost about 1-1. 5 mpg city driving, but highway stayed the same. RPMs definitely lower on the highway and that is a good thing.

I second that, I lost about 1-1. 5 mpg, even corrected for tire height in town. hwy driving i think went down a bit too, but i have 35" dick cepek fc II's 12. 50 wide! They rub the lower control arms too! It does make it nicer on a long trip, reduced engine rpm and all over the 33'' tires i had on it before. pro comp 33" tires I would choose over the cepeks over noise issues and I think 35" may be too tall. I wish they offered an AT or AS tire in a 35" height with maybe 10. 5-11" wide for max economy on the hwy. My opinion is the 12. 5 " wide tire produces so much extra traction it erases the advantage of the taller tire! I read that a new tire set will reduce your fuel economy over a well worn one by as much as 6 %!!!! I have stock 17" rims by the way, and load "d" tires are working fine since i don't tow or haul much.
