I am running some 37"x12. 50"R16 Super Swamper SSRs on 16x6 Alcoa wheels. I have a 2" spacer in the rear that I purchased from Arrowcraft Conversions. See pics of my truck under "readers rigs. "
The only thing that sucks about running what I have is the spacer has tow different bolt sizes w/ the 8 on 6. 5" pattern. The holes for it to bolt the inner wheel on are 9/16" and the studs to bolt the outer wheel on are 5/8" which are Ford dually size studs. So with that being the case I had to buy two different sets of 2 wheels. The front wheels are Dodge Alcoas, and the rear outers are Ford Alcoas w/ the inners being the stock Dodge steelies. I am sure there are better, more convienient wheel combos to fit the spacers out there, but either way I would have to dismount and re-mount the tires to have them rotated cuz the Alcoas are polished only on one side.
Price you have to pay to have a truck look good and drive in style.
It's really no biggie to me on the rotation issue, I get a great deal on these SSR tires since I got a buddy that works at Interco and gives me their un-marked up price on them, which is about $40 less per tire.
Soon I will be going to a bigger 7" Skyjacker lift kit and should be able to fit the 38"x11. 0"R16 Boggers on the truck. But only for winter time as they will wear out WAY to fast on an 8200lbs rig. Not to mention the heating and blistering problem that the bias ply tires do when they are run on heavy trucks, so make sure you get
radial Swampers and not the bias ply. You don't want to experience the blistering and blowout issues I have had with those bias plys.
