Im looking for a 37 spline locker for a Dana 80 rear for a 3. 73 gear set. Looks like they make one for 4. 10+ gears but not a 3. 73?? Does anyone have any idea if there are other options out there??

Chad

I had the same problem. You can get a Detroit locker in 4. 10 but not 3. 73 :( I know you can go with an air locker.

I thought the air lockers were 35 spline for the 3. 73 gears?? where do you see the 37 spline air locker?? Thanks Hoss!

37 sline locker

it depends on your ring gear. some of the d80's used a thin 3. 73 ring gear in connjuction with the 4. 10 carrier. arb does in fact make a 37 sline arb. hope this helps.

Are you saying that DODGE used a thin cut 3. 73 ring gear in the D-80 on a 4 series carrier. If so what years because I don't remember Dodge ever offering 3. 73's in the D-80. In 2003 they offered 3. 73's when they went to the AAM axle.

Ok I see that BIG C's is a 99 F350 Ford but he has D-60/10. 5 listed. If it's a 10. 5 ring gear axle then it's either a D-70 which ford didn't use or a Sterling axle. The D-80 has an 11" ring gear.

He Asked For Info On A D80 Which Is A 11. 5 Ring Gear. F-350 Duallys Came With A Dana 80

Sorry guys, I should have speciified. Yes I am looking for a locker that will fit 3. 73 gears and 37 spline axles in a D80 from a F-350. I currently have a 10. 5 but I am waiting to swap in a D80 when I find a locker for it. Do they make an ARB or a Detroit for this application??

If you look at his Profile you will see SRW which stands for (Single Rear Wheel) which means he has a Sterling rear axle 10. 5" ring gear. If you do some checking you will find that the D-80 has an 11" ring gear. The only pick-up's 3/4 - 1 ton with a 11. 50" ring gear is the GMC & Chev HD's and the 2003 and up Dodge with the AAM axle.

Book spec. say's 11" but hey :) Why do you want to change out your 10. 5" it's a good rear axle and you can get a Detroit Locker for it and save your self a lot of work.
