Tire Size vs. Mileage Question

Need help with Isspro Transmission gauge

I have the DRC Race kit installed on my truck. My wheels, however, are the H2 wheels. The size and width are the same as stock. The backspacing, however, is 1/2" more than the stock wheels. Because of this, the tires move in a slight "arc" as they steer rather than pivoting at the exact center. This causes the outside of the tire to be slightly clower to the fender at full lock and the inside the be slightly closer to the control arms.

Considering this slight arcing caused by the extra 1/2" backspacing, does ANYBODY know what is required to make Toyo 37" MT tires fit without rubbing anything?

I would think with the 35" tires being so close even on the KORE/Weld wheels, that you could only get the 37's on using Greg's fiberglass fenders. Here's a pic of how close my 35's get to the fenders with the wheel turned. I have the HD Diesel coils and KORE/Weld wheels and 35" Toyo's. I got 2 and 3/4" lift in the front with these coils. I think the tires would be VERY close to the fenders with the suspension all the way compressed in a turn.

without a 6" lift? i have a 9" wide wheel with stock backspacing with NO rubbing anywhere but with any more offset they probably would. if i turn all the way on flat ground i have less than 1". good luck.

Do you have any pics of your truck with the H2 wheels? Are the rims a direct bolt on?

Thanks

No the centers need to machined out to slip on the dodge like the factory. The hub carrys the weight on Dodges not the lug nut studs. Search around there are several treads giving the details. Some huys just ground it out, but it should be cneter and prescion machined to match the stock wheeh.

Axle goes forward under compression... . I wouldn't worry about it hitting the back of the fender unless there is less than 1" clearance with 35s at ride height.
