Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 370 Injectors

Would it hurt anything to put a set of 370 performance injectors from Piers Diesel in my 95 along with the Banks Stinger Plus kit I already have? I know I'm in for a clutch upgrade.

The only thing it will hurt is the clutch and tires.

I'll talk to Peter. I just didn't want any harm done to the engine. I have gauges. Does anybody have any idea what horse power this will get me to?

You will need to get more air into the motor to keep the EGT's down. According to what Joe Donnelly told me that if I were to add the 370's with my #11 plate. . either a 16cm housing or the HX40 would be needed.

Now that brings up another question how will the HX-40 work in combination with the rest of the Banks Stinger Plus kit?

I have the Stinger Plus kit with 370's. Stock clutch is still holding with the plate and AFC housing full forward. I don't push it too hard for a long time and my temps have stayed below 900 post so far. I know a new clutch is not far off.

Any problems while towing? I sometimes tow a 10,000lb. tractor. Not too often but I do tow it some. I think this is where the EGT concern would come in.

The most I've towed is 3-4K. No problems but I did go a bit easy and kept my eyes glued to the temp guage. That's when I hit close to 900 post. I would say that was 1300 in the manifold so I was close.



If I was to tow frequently, I would slide the plate back a bit and start looking for a clutch.

Spoke with some one at PDR today and will be ordering 370's, 3k GSK, and PDR HX40 turbo next week.



the 370's will be at $325 next week (7/29), so order them then.

"The only way you will hasten the demise of your engine is to operate it well beyond its design parameters. If you want to get technical, the 6BT engine in your Dodge Ram was never designed to have the Diamond-B 370 injectors installed in it..... as this marine engine has lower compression pistons and a beefier head gasket... just to name a few of the more important changes. "

Talk about taken out of context... . Go back and read that whole topic. The person you were quoting is in favor of 370's and a GSK for upgrades. What he is pointing out is that if you do just exactly what the truck was designed for you wouldn't change anything.

There's a deal coming up for August on the 370's for $299. I ordered mine today and they were nice enough to tell me about the deal and give me the sale price! Don't know if I should say who yet out of fairness.

Will the 370 injectors hurt the mileage any, if you drive it normal? I know it's hard to do with the extra power the 370's provide.
