Has anybody ever ran 370 marines in a 91 intercooled? got the pump maxed and cant get enough fuel. columbus diesel seem to think they will work as long as the nozzle size is the same size.

Thanks Brian

marine 370's are for the p-pump and have the wrong spray pattern and pop pressure. You can get edm'd 5x. 012 for the first gen from new era for about the same price.

Yes, they are used.

You can use the tip only (nozzle assy). The body you have now will have to be used if you purchase the nozzle only.

They would already know that.

The 370 Marine tips are good upgrade for your injectors. They are comparable to the POD's in power plus less smoke and hazing. Use the thickest washers you can get under the bodies and you can compensate for a lot of the difference in spray angles.

The complete injector will not work due to higher pop pressures and different line size but the tips interchange. Have the shop reset the pop pressure and balance your existing bodies when they change the tips and I think you will be quite happy. Its a good price/performance ratio.

Cheers :)

I used a set of 370's for years and I made my biggest numbers on the dyno using them. I had them honed out to about 70 liters a minute and that made all the difference in the world. My only suggestion is make sure you have the air to support the extra fuel. Dont worry about the washers I would make sure that you use the thinnest washer to get the spray pattern down in the bowl of the piston or at least close to it. When I took my original head off I saw the spray pattern on the bottom of my head. I didnt have the tip down far enough. They do haze at idle, but they are very streetable. Well thats just my 2 cents, but I am no diesel mechanic.

Did you check the fuel pressure? Change the filter? If the lift pump is bad or filter is plugged, you won't get enough to run them. I have the piston pump and can draw the pressure from 15-16 down to about 5 at WOT. If you have the diaphragm pump, I don't think you can get the fuel you need to support the 370's.

Hope this helps. ;)
