Will 370s and the stock clutch work? I think I may have a problem with one of my injectors and if I am going to spend the money I might as well do it right. I wanted to get a clutch and exhaust and an ATS manifold first but if this injector is going to be a problem I want to replace it before it creates a bigger problem. Or would 300s be a better way to go? I dont want to have to upgrade the turbo right away.

Thanks

I have 370s and some other mods (check sig) and The clutch holds but barely. If I'm pulling a hill under full load and full throttle and I even touch the clutch pedal with my foot it will slip. I have to let off to get it to hook up again. I have slid the stock plate back a bit to lower the power because I'm not excited about puting in a new clutch right now. If your truck is otherwise stock I would say it will hold.

Would there be any EGT problems if the truck is completely stock except for the air filter (K&N). Also if the stock plate was slid forward would that cause EGTs to go to high. I travel without a trailer 90% of the time.

The 370s will definitely raise the EGTs. I would say a gauge is a must. I have 4" exhaust, K&N 0880 and a 16cm turbine housing and mine still will reach 1400 on a long pull. I have the stock plate about . 040" forward of stock position.

Since you have the EGT gauge it will be easy to keep an eye on the EGTs. If they are a problem before you get the other stuff you can lower them a bit by sliding the stock plate back.

The stock clutch should hold 370s easy. That was my first mod and I didnt need a clutch for quite a while and several more hp later. The stock turbo will work for a long time with a 16cm housing. I was using a stocker with 16cm for mods to 400hp until just recently when oil loss trashed the bearings so went to a PDR 35 at that time. See sig for details.

My clutch held for 3000 miles. I garentee your clutch will start slipping soon after. I do have 205,000 on the clutch right now. This spring I'm gonna get a south bend and fully splined main shaft.
