My injectors arrived today (2 weeks shipping?) and all the numbers seem to jibe except the final few... . mine read "090 28" instead of the sequence suggested by SwampDonkey "091 18".

I wonder what these really are? The boxes are labled as being 370, and the injectors are used (covered in diesel). Still, the money is worth it... . gonna get my timing bumped before I install. Any comments or ideas, guys?

My genuine Diamond B's had a different number too. "085 16". Its probably a build sequence number, or some sort of a build date code. It sounds like you got the right ones. Can't beat the price. Cheapest you could find them at one time was $570-$590

Let us know how you like them. :).

I installed mine 2 weeks ago and was disappointed in the power increase. After some checking with several informed sources I found that these will probably give you about 30, 40 hp increase not the 100hp I was expecting. Either there are some vast differences in the 370 injectors available or there is some miss information going around. At a 40hp increase I am very happy with them and after sliding the plate forward about 16th of an inch it runs very well. 40 hp is pretty good for the money it just wasnt what I expected and the vendor was very willing to let me return them and refund my money (they are staying in)

I bought mine in the same group purchase as Deezul 1 I think. Mine were not the "correct" ones. After getting everything right, no leaks, relize my clutch will slip, etc. , I am very happy with my "incorrect" 370's. A little more power and a lot less smoke. The smoke is decreased so much I'm thinking of taking my AFC spring out, right now I'm running the light one. Good buy for $250.

While we are on the subject:

Who did the testing to determine the "correct" and "incorrect" injectors? I think I read it was Piers?

How modified was the test truck?

How much differance was there HP wise?

If you are talking a 500+HP truck and the "correct" to "incorrect" only lost 10 HP then thats 2%. If I was racing or pulling, 2% would piss me off, but for street 2% is nothing more than a bad tank of fuel. Just curious not trying to downgrade the tester.

I am happy with the power increase with mine. I have had the 370's in for about 2 weeks now. When I installed them I put in a gov spring kit at the same time. I also had my #6 plate slid all the way forward(before 370's) , but when I put everthing back together I centered my plate again, maybe even back a little from stock location to see how muck power I would have. If I needed more, then I can slowly slide my plate ahead. Yesterday while going to pick up my 4 inch exhaust, I hit 1500 degrees   on my pyro. This only took about 4 seconds! The exhaust is not installed yet, so keep an eye on the pyro if you are running stock turbo and exhaust. My cat was killed over a year ago. Smoke is not much of an issue, it farts out a black cloud when stomping on it from a standstill, but nothing to offensive. A faint black trail when passing someone. All in all I feel with a 16 cm turbo, I will almost have all the power I could ever use! Under normal driving, passing, highway and anything else, 1/4 throttle doesn't ever get used! Don't need that much and it feels like I am speeding everywhere!:D :D

Here's my edit: I may be wrong because I am pretty new to this, but I would get my timing adjusted after the injector install, no reason just my gut feeling. Someone who knows anything about this can correct me.

You are right, Piers did do all the testing on the original

370 Diamond B Marine Injectors. This was when he had

his 12 valve truck. As I recall that truck had over 400 H. P.

when it was sold, but it also had an HX-40 turbo and one

of Piers "super P7100 pumps"!
