Anybody done this without delivery valves? Am I going to be stumbling until I replace the DV's? Get the DV's and do it all at once, or try the 370's without replacing them?

Guages, 3k GSK, #5 plate, (back a little bit) 4" exhaust, BHAF, stock timing (I think) (all I can think of that might be relevent)

Thanks guys

If it were me... . I'd at least try the 370's before spending the additional dough on the DV's. Some people get a stumble... some do not. The majority of the stumble issues arise from people with 160hp pumps... ... the ones with the 131  DV's. And then you have other folks who get a stumble even with 181 or 191 DV's... .

The only downside is that the injector lines have to come off twice if you do the injectors 1st without doing the DV's and then do the DV's afterwards... .

Then again, it's only $$... !!

I think MDW is running the 370's without new D-valves. Not sure, he'll have to chime in here. I know he dynoed 401 with the little 175 pump though.

Well, I might give it a show with the OEM DVs. I'm hoping they aren't too smoky or the wife is going to question the "tune up" :D

I put in the 370s without the 191s and got the stumble. My truck is a 94 and had the 131 delivery valves. I guess some guys the stumble don't bother, but when I'm in town I'm cruising at 1300 rpm a lot and that was where the stumble was. I ordered the 191s and solved the problem. They add 40 HP. It smokes like a freight train when its opened up but no smoke driving normal under 10 lbs boost. Getting ready to go to a 16 housing and may help with smoke and egts.

The hardest part of puting in dv's is finding the socket. Other than that it's super easy. If you got the $$ for the dv's I'd put them in, it's worth it not to have to take everything back apart to do later.

You can try the 370's by themselves just be aware there might be problems with the DV's, I have a bad stumble in mine still so Pier's and I are trying some different things out (R&D) If you do decide to get the DV's later Piers has the sockets for sale also when you get the DV's, yes they wake it up like injectors all over again..... this is by set of the pants and smoke measure! Mine had 181's in it but I'm going to save them for a little pump bud if he wants them.

The 370's (Piers version) are not a little injector, they fuel big time.

My Snap-On guy was clueless about buying only the DV socket... so I ended up buying the whole #SP-500 timing kit.....

I can get the Snap-On part # for just the socket if anyone needs it... . but knowing Piers... he has 'em for less.

I think Cooker has one too. We've been planning to get together to adjust timing. I'm hoping I can borrow it for a few cold ones :D
