Just got email from Joel and he is sending me another set. They are using a different diode now on the new ones. That might be all it needs. Sometimes something so simple and inexpensive as that can correct a problem. Well he's aware of the problem and working on it.

Are we talking about two Brite Boxes if I want high beams+low beams+fogs and only one Brite Box if I only want high beams+low beams? I'm confused! Larv

The news ones from 03 up(I think Joel had something about this posted) take a brite box for each headlight. On the new ones the ECM controls the lights. Send Joel a email and he will explain it to you or if you do a search on here you should come up with it. I guess you can get the one that just makes your low beams stay on for the 03 and up but I would contact Joel he would be the man with the answer. Yes if you want high+low+fog thats two boxes one for each side. If you want just high+low ask Joel. You can contact him here http://www.bakerautoaccessories.com/

I just put the brite box on my truck, Oo. , really lets you see the road and even to the side in the ditches where those critters are getting ready to cross in front of you, very pleased with the results. :D :D :D

What about use with PIAA platinums? THe PIAA bulbs are supposed to be DOT/SAE compliant and shouldn't they therefore run at similar temps/wattages? I would really like to try this Brite Box, but I don't think I would feel like dumping $140 worth of bulbs to buy a $70 set of bulbs, only to drop another $200+ on the Brite Box. Anyone using this box with PIAAs?

I've got Silverstars 9006 and 9007 coming for my truck. Got them on Ebay for $53. 13 for all 4. I'll try them without the box right now to see if I can tell a diffrence. I'll add the box later. .

You will notice a difference when you put the Brite Box on. On high beam you will have low beam on + the fog lights. Plenty of light to see whats in the ditches.

Larv the fog light bulbs are 9006. Depending on how good your Wallyworld stocks things they might have them. The one I usually go to did not have them. I think I got them at Advance Auto Parts.

Schultz, thanks for the input! Next stop at Wally World I'll take a look. . I really like the 9006 ST in the headlights but now the headlights are bright and the stock fogs are yellow... ... Don't know what I'll do about the Brite Box yet. Pretty close to Xmas, ya' know.

Are the Sylvania back up bulbs just standard or halogen? They appear to be just standard replacements per the catalog. I've got dark tinted windows and wouldn't mind more back up light.
