Positive Caster is the answer!

Put BFG 315s on the 04. 5 right after it was bought new. Death Wobble occurred while on the way home on the interstate going about 75 mph! Thought a wheel came off!! Shortly after it did it again. Heard, saw or what ever on this site some where that if you set the front end to 5*-6* postitive caster it would prevent it from happening again. Once again that knowledge found on this site proved completely correct. It has not happened sense the correct alignment was set and has been to the alignment shop again after putting the KORE set up on. The Toyos are going to be here soon so I don't think the DW will show it's ugly face again!

On the subject of the BFG 315's. I believe they are the worst set of tires I have ever put on a truck!! Lots of weight to balance and absolutely scary on snow and ice. I can't wait to get them off and absolutely will not drive on them another winter. This is the 8th set of BFG AT or MTs that I have purchased over the years and I can't figure out why these are so bad and the others were adequate. The Bridgestone AT Revos on my first gen are in a class all by them selves compared to the BFGs. Hope the Toyos are all what they are cracked up to be.

Just my 2 cents!

I haven't had this happen with the Dodge yet but I did have this happen with an old 79 vintage Bronco. The first thing I did after parking it was to have a friend turn the steering wheel back and forth while I watched the steering linkage and components. My problem turned out to be a bolt hole attachment point on the axle that had worn oval. This bolt hole area happened to be where the track bar attached to the axle. When you turned the wheels you could see the bolt move. We ended up welding the bolt in place and I never had a problem with the DW after that.

Based on my past experience I'd check the steering components.
