I have a leaky intercooler in my 92, and have not been able to find dimensions for a 3rd gen IC. I'd like to put a bigger one in if I can find a deal on one. I want to make sure it wil fit bewteen my bumper brackets, et al, and fit height wise under the hood. So, question is, how tall, wide, and thick is the 3G intercooler? I know a 2nd gen will fit, but I want to open my possibilities if possible.

Thanks,

Daniel

The overall dims are 24. 5" tall X 2. 5" thick X 39" wide. That 39" includes the tanks, the actual intercooler is 29" wide.

Hope this helps.

I dunno, I'm a little embarrased to say I've never even ridden in a second gen. I went straight from my 93 to the 03!

The inlet and outlet seem to be centered on the tank though.

dpuckett I thought about using a 3rd gen I/C in my 93 because I had access to a take out that was in good shape. I also had a 1999 powerstroke I/C and it was an easier fit then the dodge I/C. The 3rd gen I/C is to tall. the powerstroke I/C only require a couple of easy mods. The Powerstroke I/C fits behind the stock grill with the a/c condenseor.
