Now that we might, and I do mean might be out of the most severe winter weather, I would like some input from you 3G owners running a BHAF on your truck. I removed mine in October, because of the location of the filter being behind the grill, dead square in the line of fire of salt, slush, road spray, ect. , you name it. I was a little concerned that the constant barrage of gunk possibly delaminating the filter element, as well as the filter actually being a solid block of ice. I do not have a shield or outerwear cover. I was considering putting it back in in the next few weeks or so. Anyone run their BHAF 12 months a year?

(Florida and SoCal residents need not respond... :-laf ) Just so you know, in the summer, our rainstorms are typically short and very infrequent, a very small portion of my time is spent driving in the rain.

When I used the BHAF I ran it all year with an outter wears and the front plastic cover off. But in the dead of winter I replaced the front plastic cover. By the fron plastic cover I referring to the left of the radiator(Facing the truck). This allows air directly to the filter. I also removed the inner plastic cover with the small square hole.
