3G Radio Trim Plate

I am getting a nice deal on a 2006 Mega but I am going to change the stereo to an aftermarket unit. What are you doing with the two half-circle cutouts for the knobs that are in the radio trim plate? I am thinking of ordering a head unit from Crutchfield but dont want there to be two "ears" on the sides of the head unit once I install it. How do I fill the half-circles and keep my dash looking good?

You can also get the navigation's trim plate from Dodge and then use a double DIN unit.

if you order from crutchfield.com they give you the trim plate and the wire kit including the antenna adapter.
