hey all - well i got my act together today and installed my 3k gov. spring kit, from the top of the afc, which wasint all that hard. i started her up and drover her around and noticed a couple of things. first i probablly need to reslide my torque plate. but when i stomped on it it would rev to about 2,900 after it shifted to 2nd, it then reved backup only to about 2, 600-700 then shifted to 3rd. and then reved back up to almost 3,000 rpm. is this normal? before i did the install when i stomped on it it would rev to about 2,700 and then shift, but would never drop more than 100-200 rpm. basically what im tryin to say is the shift from 2nd - 3rd is really short now. what do i do? do i have to go back and recheck the springs or somethin? when i did start the motor idle seemed the same before which was good. will sliding my plate forward a bit change anything as far as the shift from 2nd - 3rd? please let me know what ya all know! thanks!

Just wanted to ask you if you needed to adjust your governor lever that rides on the fuel plate after the 3K install? What fuel plate are you running?? Just curious cuz I am still wondering if I am going to need to adjust my governor lever after I install my #10 plate. According to Peirs, my Banks plate is not hitting the lever and I could either adjust the lever or go to a #10 plate. I trust their knowledge of the plate and what it does to the pump but their is something telling me that as soon as I get the plate in and it doesn't improve my engine's perofrmance any more than the issues it's having now, I am going to have to adjust the lever anyway, and I really don't want to gain the PITA experience that that job is.
