I guess I'm so used to doing all my own wrenching I don't stop & think how much it would cost to farm it out. Everything I learned about tinkering on diesels came from this board, NW Bombers and attending bomb parties :)

Man - I knew nothing when I got my first CTD. Now everything I know is from here as well (which is a tad more than it sounds).

It has literally saved me thousands!

My only problem now is time (50-60 hrs Planner/ Scheduler - Trailer Dealership - and Hot Shoting now)... any spare time goes to my wife and kids as they deserve somewhat of a normal home...

Thanks

Shawn

This is a fairly close going rate for jobs:

TST plate installed, 250$

3k govs installed, 250$

timing 200$

KDP fix using the jig, 200$

KDP tab would cost more due to more materials and more time... 350$?

250$ installed doesnt sound bad at all for 3 gauges though.

But for 1400$ Id expect at least a plate, gov springs, timing, KDP fix and gauges, all installed... considering thats only ~550$ in parts, max.

Just MHO though...
