Greetings,

I'm a CTD newbie. Just got a fabulous '96 in August. Bought a Cummins and it came wrapped in a dodge. I'm happier with it than I expected. Wasn't a huge dodge fan, but they're definitely growing on me.

You can see my current setup in my sig. , mostly stock. I'm off for 2 weeks at Christmas and plan to turn some wrenches. I ordered the 3k GSK from TST (also plan to kill KDP). The instructions from TST says that it's not compatible w/ the stock plate, and results may be worse than stock. They only recommend the #4 w/ the 3k GSK. I had planned to move the plate and AFC forward, spin the starwheel a little, advance timing to ~15-16* and check valve spacing.

Should I expect problems or issues running the GSK w/ the stock plate?

I can't do too much bombing (i. e. , fuel plate) or I'll be sweeping the transmission up off the pavement. I want to wake things up a bit but can't do too much until I can get a full DTT. From what I've read here, I figured I could improve efficiency by moving the plate/afc, bumping up the timing and such. Recommendations welcome.

TIA,

Hvy
