I'm not an expert, but if the springs are turned in too tight, the idle will go up, and if they are not tight enough, the idle will be low.
This is very true, if you will at least run them up till you hear the first click then go one more you will be fine, some say the tighter the more power but my truck is a touchy one and if there too tight cruise control is so touch when you hit a slight hill the boost will jump 4-5 PSI, that's allot as to now varying 1-2 PSI. Every truck and pump has a world of it own. Mine has a terrible stumble at 1300(it will shake the hole truck) so Piers sent me a special set of springs to do some R&D for him, they work so good that it's a totally different truck and absolutely no stumble but no RPM's either so were going to try different seats with the same springs.
