Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 3kgsk problem

i installed a 3kgsk kit on my truck a while back and i guess i just noticed it but it only wants to run up to 2500-2600 rpm. its an automatic and it does that in drive but if i shift it manual it will go up to 3000 rpm. it kind of idles rough. any help would be great thanks.

could be your kick down cable... sounds like it is not tight enough, i think, its worth a check

how do i adjust it. why it it have a rough idle though.
