RMTDR KDP Killin' Cookout - Oct/Nov 05

Ya we got hit pretty hard. The sign fell on a Chevy P/U totaling it. Every car (32) has hail damage. My house got hail damage but my 87 Chevy Caprice got nothing. Good thing I was up in Isanti Bowling at the time... . My truck may have gotten damaged.

I will be up in the U. P. for rally, so I am out. Bummer, as I really want to see what those injectors got me up to. It sure is fun taking friends out in the truck and punching it in 5th gear at 55mph, and just feeling the accelleration at that speed!

Alpha - which clutch did you put in? Did you give it enough break-in time?

Later,

Will

Sure would like to make it and meet all you guys but that's the same day as the American Snowmobiler Shootout in Brainerd guess we'll have to see when it get's a little closer

I put in a very slightly used ProGold Luk clutch that I pulled off the 12v engine I have. Truck was rolled less than a month after it was put it. It is just bacisly a stock HP rated clutch for a 12v engine (97) It works fine, just under heavy load (read, foot to the floor :-laf ) on 5x5 I can feel it slightly slipping. I was told the clutch had less than 2k miles on it.

Ok here is my deal now, yes J/P I am still coming and will be there early. This is my plan, I am buying a different VP for my truck, so I want to do a pull with box off and then box on right away. Then if the pump shows up in time... ... . shall see, I am going to change VP's and pay to do another run the same way as the first run. I want to see what changes this pump does to an ETH truck. As I might be becoming a dealer for this company. You know me I want to be sure I steer customers in the right direction, and not mislead them, just the facts that I know :D . I just have to see this pump work with my own eyes... ... ... ... ... . that's all.

BTW are we going to have a pool on what your truck turns out? Later Jim.

What's that I should bring my truck and set it up as a pool? :D JK... Sounds like a plan Jim. Hopefully everything you ordered will show up as planned. It sounds like a couple of people that have puked VP's will be there to give you a hand if you need it.

You gonna have your twins by then?

Josh

PS, If you guys wanna bet on my truck... go for it. I'm hoping for 400.

No no twins yet, unless the Fat kid lets me mock that one he has up on my truck. I am hoping to get closer to 500 with this pump, but not sure if the poor ole turbo is going to allow for that. would like to actually break 500. But probably on the first pull to hit 290... ... ... ..... lol. So I am a ways away... ... ... ... ... ... lol. See ya later.

Well I am looking forward to coming up and meeting everyone but I'm just not quite sure I want anyone running my truck but me (only people that drive my truck is me and Aron when he wrenches on it-not even my wife or mom drive it). Anyways I don't think they give out door prizes to the weakest trucks for the day. Aron has informed me well about the high numbers you fellows put out up north. However I have a brother up that way that just bought a Ferd 7. 3 with nothing more than a AFE and auto that I may pay for to get run so I can show him how low his numbers really are compared to my dyno numbers from Minooka,IL dyno meet. He is so proud of how it pulls his 5th wheel and boat and only bought it to fit in with all the other camper guru's in his neighborhood that run Ferds in Big Lake. According to him Big Lake has some wicked Ferds running around bragging how they can whip anyone... HA HA. . maybe we should all head up that way after the dyno and cruise around on Saturday night looking for prey. I would be more than happy to hook my nearly stock truck to any Ferd up to 500 HP and drag him around. I was once a Ferd 7. 3 owner and once a Duramax owner and I KNOW how gutless they are.

I'm planning on coming. Supposebly my turbo is ready to ship finally, so I may have it on and the water hooked up before then so I can spin the rollers. If I don't get it together then there's no sense putting it on the dyno. Things have been extremely busy here so i dunno what I'll have time to do.

Corey

i know of some hot ferds from big lake and they are not that hot... ... hey jim how bad do u want twins for the dyno day? i want your injectors and u can play with my turbo. sounds like a good deal to me.

Well what good is that going to do me? Let me think about that one, since I may installing a different VP a bigger set maybe nice. So if all works out a different set of sticks maybe on there way... ... ..... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Spicy's old injectors for the Fat Kid... ...

Cory with a bunch of new Mods,

as well as many others, but that's as many as I can think of off the top of my head... . Should be a GREAT time... some wrenching, some watching, LOTS OF SOOT!

Josh,

I think I conned my cousin into driving my new truck up and running it on the dyno. I went doctor today and still have to wait another 6 weeks before I can put any weight on my d**n ankle :(. I guess I should have listened to everybody and went with an auto. So truck will be stock, but it will give me a starting point. I did not do that with old one. So plan on 1 more do spin the rollers at a lower number. But not for long I will order some parts here in the next few days :D . See ya Oct 22nd.

Randy

Josh,

I've never gotten to dyno my truck. That trip up there with my brother was fun. Wish I could have brought my truck then, but it was close to stock anyways. Will see what happens. We're into the corn harvest now and i'm needed pretty bad until we're done. I've got the weekends off of work so that isn't a factor. We'll see! :)

BTW, where'd you get all of the newfound power Josh? What'd ya find? :D

I found that my shutoff solonoid was not pulling up all the way. Basically giving me only 2/3- 3/4 rack travel. With that and 191 delivery valves... . I'm all :D
