My son caught a neck full of water while sitting in the back seat of my '99 when I turned a corner. I checked with the TDR list and found that the 3rd Brake Light could be a sourse of water leakage into the cab.
I pulled the two phillips head screws that hold the light in the cab. When I pulled the light out of the hole I could tell immediatly that the gasket wasn't touching completely across the top section.
Since I'm cheap and I also had the clear silicon sealant on hand... ... ..... easy fix.
Cleaned the cab surface of dirt and wax, left a good layer of silicon sealant where the gasket should rest against the cab.
Installed the 3rd Brake Light and snugged the 2 screws down into place.
The excess silicon was squeezed out of the gasket area and immediatly wiped up.
I have had no more leakeage into the cab since and it only took a few minutes, a tube of clear silicon sealant and a phillips screwdriver.
