Twins Owners- Gauge questions.

where can a newbie get an intake

Looking for other members, that are using sb dd clutch,I have to make another up grade, the old tst ceramic with sac cover isn't holding any more,so I need input about the double disk from people, who use it in real every day trucks, I tow and play on the street, but don't beat the truck but I do work it! So any info would be great.

Just get on the phone and call. You won't regret it. Other than the slightly harder pedal, sometimes it's a little harder to get into reverse, and the clutch rattle. All of which you won't even notice after a while. A DD isn't going to be as nice as a single for daily driving and for backing a trailer, but this is the trade off for the holding power and not having to upgrade later as the power increases.

Actually, I liked the way the SBC DD worked in backing up trailers over the singles. It does have more pedal effort, and rattles when disengaged. I don't recall having any issues going into any gear, even reverse sitting still.

I love my DD. Pedal pressure is only a little more than stock. I like the rattle. I have some problems getting into reverse every now and then. I would not hesitate to get one. I would consider the 3850 without blinking and the Iron Giant almost as easily. Don't wait any longer, call Peter.

Don't get me wrong. I don't mind the rattle. The pedal pressure isn't bad and as far as getting it into gear or backing a trailer I have no complaints either. However in previous posts on this site, some people were complaining that there were things such as the stuff listed above, that were not brought to their attention before they got the clutch. I guess they were expecting that a heavy DD would act the exact same as the stock clutch, and seemed mad at the supplier or other people for not explaining every little detail. I'm not implying that Butch 97 3500 would do this, but just in case he was wondering about some of the so called "side effects". With that out of the way, BUY THE CLUTCH, you know you want to..... all your friends are doing it!:D
