Anyone put a 12v into a 3rd gen. 6spd yet???

IMO this would be  .

I wonder how hard it would be, speedo, tach, etc.

Yeah it'd be cool, but the smog Nazi's are coming. I'm hopeful the test are going to be OBDII & up so they don't have to spend so much of our money on more expensive exhuast analyzer equipment. I know diesel emissions testing is not that common, but it's only a matter of time, especially with some of the smoke bombs running around giggling everytime they turn a white car black leaving an intersection.

Smog laws were meant to be broken, didn't you know?

It will most likely require an actual cerified sniff station to do the tests, too many aftermarket companies building things to piggyback into the OBD2 system to fool the test stations. Smog checks were never about emmissions anyways, they are about money. Look at all the gross polluters who drive older vehicles that are exempt across the nation.

Blowing black smoke over cars is sure to push the lobbyists who want the tests further to reality.

I would be very hesitant of the newer dodges for this reason mainly. Unless you live in a backwoods area with no emmisions issues to worry about. Due to the reliability issues it wouldn't take much to justify stripping a newer dodge to do this though, so long as it had a blown engine or something major already. The sensors are not much more than a few mods to the harness. I've done a 2001 powerstroke excursion before with a 5. 9, just takes time to read the schematics and get proper pick up on the signals.
